On October 1st, heaven gained an angel with a heart of gold. Just days before that, we welcomed Jaxton into our family of DMG warriors. He’d been bravely battling this aggressive, currently incurable brain cancer since January, and we were already astounded by his bravery and calm, his fortitude and fight. His courage was inspiring, rivaled only by his love for his family. He was so devoted to them, their happiness came first.💛 Now sadly, he is among our newest DMG angels. And while his services have passed, we wanted to dedicate this time to honoring his legacy and celebrating his amazing life. Because Jaxton was truly just that – amazing. A calm, creative kiddo who loved camping and fishing. Minecraft and Batman. Soccer and basketball. He loved to sing, and would belt out his faves for hours on end. Make no mistake, Jaxton was far from your typical 10-year-old. He had a generosity about him. A truly sweet spirit. An empathetic soul. The kind of young man who’d jump in to help without being asked, the kind of kiddo who always held the door open for complete strangers. He wasn’t simply polite, he was a model of kindness and care. He brought joy to everyone he met.🌟 Of course, Jaxton made a bucket list. And this astounding kid checked everything off. Today, Conner would be turning 16. A milestone birthday. Getting his driver’s license? Probably. Still tackling problems head-on? Definitely. That was just his way. Always looking to do more, do better, whether in school, on the field, or out in nature. Conner was strong in his faith, so we know our DIPG angel is celebrating his heavenly birthday today with Jesus by his side. And we’re thinking of his friends and family as they honor the legacy of this amazing kiddo, forever 12, here on earth.💛 Conner loved being outside. Boating, biking, fishing. He was a born adventurer. A shark expert. And football star. Smart and strong-willed. A tenacious, courageous young man who fought this devastating brain cancer for 10 months, determined to not let his diagnosis slow him down or keep him from the things he loved.
