Last month, Raise hosted our annual Patrons Lunch. It was a truly special afternoon, a chance to reflect on the impact of youth mentoring and to hear firsthand from those at the heart of Raise. Our panel featured voices from across the Raise community, including Youth Advisory Member Zali Fisher, mentor Antoniette Dagher, Principal Susan Wyatt, and mental health researcher Dr Alyssa Milton - who spoke with honesty and heart about the power of being seen, heard and supported. Guests also enjoyed an inspiring conversation between Raise Patron David Gonski AC and acclaimed film producer Jodi Matterson, who shared stories of resilience, mentoring and backing yourself, even when the odds are tough. “One of the amazing parts of being someone’s mentor is being able to see something in someone that they can’t yet see in themselves.” - Jodi Matterson We're so thankful to everyone who attended and continue to stand beside us in support of young Australians.
