🌟 Advancing Tick-Borne Disease Research: Insights & Progress 🌟 What an incredible night with NORTH Foundation - advocates, researchers, and community members came together to tackle one of Australia’s most under-recognised health challenges. Snow Foundation CEO Georgina Byron and Chair Ginette Snow shared their personal connection that drives our commitment to this critical research. Ginette shared her story about living with a chronic tick-borne illness, highlighting the devastating impact of the lack of validated diagnostic testing in Australia, leaving many patients feeling lost and without answers. This patient-centred research program is designed to study the disease and focus on diagnosis, treatment, and practical support for those affected. It’s about building an evidence base that can ultimately lead to fast, accurate testing and clear clinical guidelines. This project also exemplifies the critical role philanthropy can play when government support falls short.
