Canberra Art Biennial – The 5th Canberra Art Biennial takes place 27 September – 26 October 2024.

A contemporary art festival delivered by contour 556 inc. On Ngunnawal land. Next festival 1-29 October 2022 Contour 556 is Canberra's biennial public art festival, curated by Neil Hobbs. Contour 556 is established to promote and develop public art event to be internationally recognised biennial of public art event in the national s capital. This includes encouraging participation of artists in local art festivals, providing opportunities for public engagement through community art events, facilitating working relationships for commissioned artwork, engaging in school and community events for young artists to share knowledge, participating in artists collaborative opportunities for development of art, complementing art festivals in ACT for the benefit of community.
