Last Sunday we were awarded the Excellence in Disability and Mental Health Advocacy Award. We are deeply honoured and humbled to have received the Africa Day Award for Excellence in Mental Health and Advocacy. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who voted and believed in the work we do. Your support means the world and continues to fuel our passion for creating change in our communities. My sincere gratitude also goes to Africa Day Inc, the organisers of this incredible event for recognising the importance of mental health and for providing a platform to celebrate advocacy and community impact. This award is not just a personal achievement—it is a shared victory for all of us who are committed to breaking stigma, improving access, and uplifting the mental wellbeing of African communities in Australia.
