New AJM Playlist - Pyramid . 🎶💥🥰 In July 1980, Pyramid (Roger McLachlan, Bob Venier, David Jones & David Hirschfelder) recorded their eponymous album. The AJM has a single copy of the 12" LP in it's promo release, track times match the official release as represented on Discogs. As this is an iconic and rare album, the AJM digital team has created a digital version and added it to our streaming page. We hope this helps you remember all the great music Roger & Bob created, both separately and with David J and David H as Pyramid. This is our only copy, and for this release we've opted to leave it just how it came off the record. There's a few clicks and pops, but it's otherwise it's a fantastic listen. We'd be interested in your thoughts on restoration, the modern tools can deal with this, but I suspect they might come at cost to the audio. We recently had the acrylic case for the Marionette vibraphone delivered and here’s a picture of it in place. Our motivation has been to put it on display in a safe way and to be able to play it - we’d love to hear from a vibes player who’d like to play it. Shout out to the Kayendee Plastics team for their guidance and especially the installation team who needed to remove a door to get it in! 🙂 This Marionette vibraphone is one of a series built in Adelaide in the mid-20th century by H. H. “Hughie” Appelt.
