Please support this year's Homeless Persons’ Memorial Service at Martin Place on SATURDAY 21st JUNE at 6pm. The Memorial Service – held on the winter solstice and the longest night of the year - is a candlelight community event, open to all, to commemorate all those who have died homeless in the past twelve months. It is a sad truth that many homeless people die unnoticed and unmourned. Creating inclusive communities and nurturing dignity hope and belonging. Please support our community. Cana Communities is a notforprofit charity working with men and women who are experiencing homelessness addiction imprisonment mental health issues and other barriers that have prevented them from creating a positive life for themselves. We offer hospitality and care in places where people can come together to be safe to be welcomed to be accepted and to belong providing the opportunity for lives to be rebuilt.
