Generation Next Australia Limited
Generation Next Australia Limited is an Australian nonprofit organization focused on improving mental health outcomes for young people across the country. Its mission is to enhance mental health literacy and promote early intervention, management, and prevention of mental illness in youth.
Objectives
The organization aims to increase community awareness of mental health issues, reduce stigma associated with mental illness, and empower young people, families, and professionals with the knowledge and tools needed to support mental well-being. Generation Next envisions a society where young people can effectively manage their mental health and where communities are supportive and free from stigma surrounding mental illness.
Activities
Generation Next delivers educational programs and resources targeted at professionals, young people, and the community. These initiatives include seminars, workshops, and online learning platforms such as the Mental Health & Wellbeing of Young People Learning Hub. By engaging with professionals who work closely with youth, they provide education on mental health disorders and treatment options. Additionally, the organization works directly with young people to enhance their mental health literacy and equip them with skills to better manage their mental health.
Approach
The organization adopts a holistic approach by focusing on key stakeholders: professionals, young people, and the broader community. It invests all income back into its activities, relying on a small team and support from other organizations to maximize its impact. Generation Next also conducts research to ensure its strategies are evidence-based, contributing to the development of resilient, mentally healthy youth who are engaged in promoting community well-being.
Structure
Despite being managed by a small salaried staff, Generation Next achieves significant outreach through partnerships and community involvement. This model allows it to efficiently address gaps in mental health support with minimal administrative costs, thus maximizing the return on its efforts in the Australian community.
Impact
Generation Next plays a critical role in Australia's mental health landscape by fostering a supportive environment that encourages dialogue about mental health and seeks to break down barriers to mental health support. By engaging diverse stakeholders, it helps ensure that young Australians have access to resources and knowledge necessary for maintaining good mental health.

New from Andrew Fuller 💡 “Young women learn faster and younger — but feel less empowered.” It’s time to flip the script. Teenage girls are idealistic, perceptive, creative, and full of untapped strength. Let's explore why confidence grows not from praise, but from “the repeated act of doing hard things and succeeding.” ✨ “We not only want our young women to feel safe. We want them to feel strong.” 🔗 Read: Empowering teenage girls: Strengths, confidence, and motivation https://www.generationnext.com.au/2025/05/empowering-teenage-girls-strengths-confidence-and-motivation/ #EmpowerGirls #supportingyoungpeople #wellbeing #learningstrengths #ConfidenceBoost (fb)
