Members of the Mereweather-Hamilton-Adamstown RSL sub-Branch recently enjoyed a memorable visit to RAAF Base Williamtown. The group toured 3 Squadron, got up close to a static F-35A Lightning II, and spoke with serving Air Force personnel about their roles and the impressive aircraft. The visit highlighted how valuable it is for veterans to connect with current serving members, sharing experiences and learning about today’s Air Force. Commander Air Combat Group, Air Commodore Peter Robinson said, “The RSL is a leading voice for veterans and are strong advocates for the needs of veterans and their families. “For me, my sub-Branch is something I have to make time for – just like fitness. Some weeks I won't have much time – and that's okay. Other weeks, I strive to give more. “I’m lucky that retired members of the committee have time to do the legwork for me.
