Official account of the International Federation of Accountants: Strengthening Organizations, Advancing Economies. As the global organization for the accountancy profession, IFAC is dedicated to serving the public interest by strengthening the profession and contributing to the development of strong international economies. THE PUBLIC INTEREST OBJECTIVE OF THE FORUM IS TO PROMOTE CONSISTENT AND HIGH QUALITY STANDARDS OF FINANCIAL REPORTING AND AUDITING PRACTICES WORLD-WIDE. THE FORUM BRINGS TOGETHER FIRMS WHICH PERFORM TRANSNATIONAL AUDITS AND INVOLVES THEM CLOSELY WITH IFAC'S ACTIVITIES THEREBY SUPPORTING IFAC'S PUBLIC INTEREST PURPOSE.
