Annually, the foundation distributes scholarships across multiple categories, each valued at $500, to students enrolled in TAFE NSW courses. In 2023/2024, it awarded $105,030 to 82 students through 25 scholarship categories funded by donors. These scholarships target costs such as course materials, transportation, and living expenses, enabling recipients to focus on studies.

The foundation operates as a tax-deductible charity, relying on contributions from individuals, businesses, and community groups. Donations are directed toward scholarships and programs that reduce barriers to education for disadvantaged students.
Eligibility and Support
Applicants must demonstrate financial need or personal challenges affecting their studies. While applications are temporarily closed as of the latest update, the foundation encourages eligible students to apply when openings occur. TAFE NSW provides supplementary support services, including counselling and disability assistance, though these are managed separately from the foundation.

Congratulations to Alex Synott, honoured with TAFE NSW Awards for Outstanding Commitment to Nursing. 🎉🏆 TAFE NSW - Ballina graduate Alex Synott has been honoured with the TAFE NSW Student of the Year award and Health, Wellbeing and Human Services Student of the Year award! 🌟 Starting his journey in 2018 studying in a completely different field, Alex switched to healthcare and steadily progressed to earn a Diploma of Nursing (HLT54121-01) in 2024. 💪 Nursing teacher Mel Ramsay praised Alex, saying, “Alex’s journey is a powerful example of what determination and support can achieve. He consistently sought feedback, deepened his understanding of nursing concepts, and showed a genuine passion for helping others.
