☀️A fantastic day for our volunteers hosted by the Tamworth Local Aboriginal Land Council! Today we visited a sacred Site “Boundary Rock” where we were able to witness Aboriginal Cave Art from hundreds of years ago. It has been said that the art tells a story of Aboriginal people travelling from one place to another, highlighting their peaceful and nomadic nature. We then were able to learn about different weapons and tools Aboriginal people used in their everyday lives as well as watch a fantastic cultural dance by the team. Later in the day we visited the Land Care Nursery and learn how to prepare eucalyptus seedlings. It’s amazing to think that these tiny plants, can grow to huge trees. The day ended with a couple of basketball games with children and teenagers part of the Bounce Back School Holiday Program and a delicious Dinner by Luke and Rena!
