THE FUTURE IS TODAY Every year ships emit 1000 million tonnes of carbon dioxide into the Earths atmosphere this is the equivalent of 2. 5 of global emissions annually. A COMPELLING OPPORTUNITY REDUCING GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS While theres no single pathway to a low emissions future expanding the use of LNG as a transition marine fuel is one way to help reduce GHG from shipping and help reduce this countrys environmental footprint.
