NCACL

We share our collection through exhibits, events, website, databases & bibliographies, unique authors' & illustrators' creations & indepth research items. Our goal is to collect, document, preserve, share and make available books and related resources about Australian literature for young people. We serve all ages. From a position of success and experience, we are now reaching people around the world who have an interest in Australian children's literature. We continued to enhance our freely available databases of children s books by and about Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander Peoples, Cultural Diversity and Australian Verse Novels from our website to users worldwide. Over 1,000 resources of high quality offer annotations, Australian curriculum links, teaching resources and sophisticated search capacity to suit individual needs and interests. We loaned artwork by Graeme Base for a major exhibition in Canberra and artwork by Freya Blackwood for a yearlong exhibition at the State Library of New South Wales. We gave a major presentation at the national conference of the Children s Book Council of Australia, participated in several virtual presentations about our collections to colleagues across Australia, New Zealand and world participants, published articles about our resources on blogs, organisations newsletters and blogs, featured in interviews produced by and available from local and national organisations. We offered openings to national organisations, such as the Australian Library and Information Association and the Society of Children s Book Writers and Illustrators.
