Provided input to other regulatory changes to the NDIS laws in consultation with members, allied health and consumer groups. Successfully advocated for the TGA to retain Assistive Technology (AT) devices in the NDIS Higher risk category as Class 1 goods to better protect consumers. Made a successful submission to the NDIS Early Childhood AT consultation to ensure reissued AT in a proposed pilot has quality and safety checks. Continued to alert the TGA to AT in the Australian market that did not meet the TGA s standards. Continued to work with consumer PEAKS, state and national Transport departments to standardise and simplify exemptions for hand controls in modified vehicles. Successfully worked with the NDIS and Minister for Disability Services to resolve an outstanding issue on Open Orders for our members which had a significant and adverse impact on some members businesses.
