Supported Decision-Making is a person-led approach that empowers individuals to make their own decisions, especially in the context of mental health and psychosocial support. It respects each person’s right to autonomy, self-determination, and dignity of risk. We are proud to launch our new Supported Decision-Making (SDM) resource hub, a central space for mental heealth workers, carers, family members and others interested in building knowledge and confidence in SDM. Our SDM hub includes: - An animated explainer video showing how SDM empowers choice - A free self-paced course with two modules to strengthen skills and embed recovery-oriented approaches - Further training opportunities to be announced shortly Explore the SDM hub here: https://mhcc.org.au/resource/mhcc-supported-decision-making/ (fb)
