🌿 Rescuing & restoring rainforest 🐾 Protecting vital biodiversity 🌱 Native nursery 💚 Positive conservation outcomes since 1999 Rainforest Rescue is a not-for-profit organisation re-establishing vital rainforests through planting, maintenance & restoration since 1999. Used funds donated to our public fund to restore, purchase, and protect rainforest Planted 2,500 trees at NightWings at our Annual Community Tree Planting Day (https://www.rainforestrescue.org.au/2022treeplantingdayrecap/) Held the first planting at Tranquilty on the Daintree, planting 800 native trees (https://www.rainforestrescue.org.au/treeplantingnov2021/) monthly scheduled from July to November 2022. Rescued three rainforest properties in the Daintree total of 9.87 hectares (https://www.rainforestrescue.org.au/lot36/, https://www.rainforestrescue.org.au/lot19/, and https://www.rainforestrescue.org.au/lot36ronaldroad/) We continue to develop partnerships with traditional owners in the Daintree region with the aim of working on larger projects together and training of Indigenous Land Managers. Launched our annual international photography competition, the Canopy Awards (https://www.rainforestrescue.org.au/canopyawards/) Construction begun on New Nursery which will increase our tree production from 12,000 p.a. to 150,000 p.a.
