Changes at Peel Health Hub Oseca advises that the current General Practice (GP) services at Peel Health Hub (PHH) will formally cease this week. This change comes as part of a service realignment at PHH, ensuring continued responsiveness to the evolving needs of the Peel community. All current GP patients are being proactively supported to transition to alternative general practices across the Peel region, with the aim of maintaining continuity of care and minimal disruption. 💜 Recognising our team & services Oseca recognises the contribution of our valued GPs and their supporting nurses, who have serviced PYMS over our many years of operation. It is disappointing that our Government has not recognised the importance of continuing this service, through adequate funding/ resourcing. This is no way detracts from the quality and value of the services that our dedicated medical and health professionals have provided at PMYS. 👥 Better collaboration with referring local GPs While in-person GP services at PHH are pausing, Oseca remains focused on expanding the impact and accessibility of its broader service offerings. As part of this transition, the organisation is committing to strengthen referral pathways between PHH’s multidisciplinary services and all GP practices across the region, supporting improved coordination, faster access, and integrated care outcomes. “This change allows us to focus on what PHH does best – wraparound services for those who need them most – while building stronger partnerships with GPs throughout the region” Amandy Towie- PHH Manager. 📆 Looking Ahead to 2026 One of PHH’s GPs is currently on maternity leave and is expected to return in 2026. At that time, Oseca anticipates reintroducing GP-led care, with a focus on specialised clinics and targeted services, rather than returning to the historical model of general practice.
