Celebrating 20 Years at BDAC – Uncle Charlie Knight ❤️💛🖤 We’re celebrating a huge milestone – Uncle Charlie’s 20-year anniversary working at BDAC! As our longest-serving staff member, Uncle Charlie has dedicated two decades to supporting Community, sharing knowledge and care at BDAC. Uncle Charlie, a proud Ngarrindjeri man, joined BDAC back in April 2005. He started out as a trainee Male Health Worker and over the years has taken on many other roles – from Senior Aboriginal Health Worker to Outreach Worker and is currently managing BDAC’s fleet vehicles. As an Elder and member of the Stolen Generations, he is a mentor to many. Uncle Charlie’s wisdom, strength, and care for Community have made a huge impact at BDAC and in the Community. As CEO Dallas Widdicombe said, “everybody knows Uncle Charlie.” Despite hinting at the “possibility” of retirement in the next few years, Uncle Charlie is not ready to slow down just yet. “We’re walking tall, doing magnificent things for our Community – especially for the younger generations.” Thanks for everything, Uncle Charlie ❤️💛🖤 (fb)
