Over three busy days in Canberra, NECA CEO Meredith Cummins and Media & External Affairs Lead Ciara Connolly worked to put the voices of NET patients front and centre. Across the visit: 🏥Meredith attended “The future of Private Health Roundtable discussion” and spoke about the patient’s perspective of what patients want 🏛️Met with MPs and Advisors to discuss NET patient needs 🤝Attended CanForum 2025 🧪 Contributed to Medicines of Tomorrow – 2025 Horizon Scanning Forum hosted by Medicines Australia, where Meredith spoke on a panel 💊 Joined PharmAus 2025 – The Best New Medicines When You Need Them We connected with patient organisations, MPs, patients from a range of conditions, and leaders across the health sector. From these conversations and the sessions we attended, it was clear that access to treatments and equity across cancers remain a major priority for patients, clinicians and policymakers alike. Being present and representing NET patients at these events reinforces NECA’s commitment to ensuring our patients are not left behind. We are advocating for a PBS that is more responsive, equitable and prepared to meet the needs of patients now and into the future, while driving better awareness, access and care for all. #NeuroendocrineCancer #PatientVoices #HealthEquity #Canberra2025 (fb)
