𝗣𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: ICM House Leader 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Port Macquarie 𝗧𝘆𝗽𝗲: Full Time 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹: Level 5.1 under the SCHDSI Award The successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Interim Care Model (ICM) house. Key responsibilities include developing and coordinating daily routines to meet outcomes for young people residing in the home, overseeing household cleanliness and maintenance, and directing support staff on shift responsibilities. The ICM House Leader will be the main contact for internal and external service providers, providing weekly reports and attending regular ICM house meetings with the Department of Communities and Justice Interim Care Referral Unit. The role also involves designing and supporting the delivery of programs that help young people work toward independence, such as budgeting, cooking, and engaging in community activities. A deep understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal communities in NSW is essential, as the position requires advocating for Aboriginal young people, ensuring their cultural needs are met, and building strong working relationships with Aboriginal agencies to support and strengthen families and cultural connections.
