🌈 Tomorrow, it is International Day Against LGBTQIA+ Discrimination, established to commemorate the 1990 decision by the World Health Organisation to remove homosexuality from its list of mental disorders. This year’s theme, The Power of Communities, celebrates the diversity, strength and solidarity within LGBTQ+ communities. At DCA, we know that while progress has been made, many LGBTQIA+ people still face discrimination at work. Our Inclusion@Work Index shows: • LGBTIQ+ employees are more likely to face discrimination and harassment • people with intersecting identities face extra barriers • many LGBTIQ+ employees still don’t feel safe enough to be out at work. In partnership with Pride in Diversity, our report Intersections at Work also revealed 55% of culturally diverse LGBTQIA+ employees say their combined identities negatively affect their experience at work.
