Anador Walsh is a curator, writer and the founder of Performance Review. Her practice focuses on performance (including dance) in a visual art context. In late 2023, Walsh embarked on a research trip supported by our Emerging Artist Grant. ‘The 2023 Performa Biennial [was] a centrepiece, around which to construct a research plan that traversed meetings, exhibition and performance attendance, and networking activities that I felt would facilitate this research and further opportunities,’ said Walsh. Since the research trip, Walsh has continued to build on the networks she established and is working on a New York-Australia performance exchange, that sees artists from these two places present work in each other's contexts. CALL OUT | Nominations are now open for the 2025 Sidney Myer Creative Fellowships and Ian Potter Creative Fellowships, each valued at $200,000. All Creative Fellowships are tax-free, unrestricted grants, paid over two years. Nominations are welcome for early mid-career artists, creatives and cultural leaders across the entire spectrum of the arts and humanities. We award two Ian Potter Creative Fellowships annually.
