🌟 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐆𝐒𝐆 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐍𝐄𝐗𝐓 𝐋𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐋!! 🌟 👉Year 7s explored using leftover food and fresh produce from our kitchen garden to create dishes like Hummingbird muffins, frittata, crumble and nasi goreng, learning to halve recipes and creatively use leftovers. 🥕🍳 👉Year 8s used fresh produce to make quick pickles and choko chips, perfect accompaniments to a burger. They designed healthy burgers based on Australian dietary guidelines. 🍔🥒 👉Year 9s have been culinary wizards! 🍝✨ They created homemade pasta, ragu, and béchamel, turning them into a delicious lasagna for lunch. Then made fettuccine or ravioli with a suitable sauce and enjoyed a sensory analysis of bush tucker spices. 🌿🍴 👉Year 10s explored spices, cooked Indian dishes with guest cook Riddhi, made Chinese-inspired wontons, sticky rice and deep-fried ice cream. Now, they're designing dim sum dishes for a guest presentation next week. 🥟🍚🍨 👉Year 11s created appetisers like samosas, baba ganoush and vol-au-vents, honing their knife skills and plating creativity. They also learned from guest chefs who demonstrated a dish using garden produce grown by our Sustainable Production students. 🍽️🔪 👉Year 12s learned about various salads for dishes like Waldorf, Greek, tossed and Nicoise. Visiting chefs discussed hospitality careers.
