The first ever RIVERS RUN! 🎉 A 50km journey that brought together water people from across the Northern Rivers. We ran, swam, rode and kayaked our way from Ballina to Bruns, to make some noise and raise funds for future of our rivers and ocean. We’re seeing the effects of climate change right here in our Cape Byron Marine Park. Floods. Fish kills. Contaminated waterways. Injured marine life. But change is possible, and it is happening! 💛 As we travelled together along our coastline, we were reminded of what’s at stake and why these highly biodiverse ecosystems are worth fighting for. To everyone who showed up and everyone working tirelessly for the health of our waterways, thank you.
