GHAF Brings Joy to Children with Disabilities in Sri Lanka On the 12th of April 2025, the Global Humanitarian Aid Foundation (GHAF) carried out a compassionate outreach initiative in Galle, Southern Province, Sri Lanka. In the spirit of the upcoming Sinhala and Tamil New Year, GHAF extended meaningful support to a local children’s home for children with disabilities by distributing essential and thoughtfully selected items. A total of 55 children received brand-new clothing, specially tailored to fit each child based on individual measurements taken during a prior visit — ensuring comfort and dignity for every recipient. Alongside the clothing, GHAF also provided cake, bananas, chocolate, biscuits, toys, and purses — bringing joy and celebration to children who rarely have access to such treats. For many of these children, receiving clothing that fits them comfortably and treats that are not often accessible felt deeply personal and necessary. This initiative was more than just a distribution of goods; it was an act of love, care, and genuine connection. The children’s smiles and excitement were a powerful reminder of the impact that thoughtful, compassionate support can have on their lives.
