Vimokkharam Forest Hermitage Home The Hermitage Teachings News Events Support Contact More Luang Por Chah Subhaddo Vimokkharam is a Theravda Buddhist Monastery of the Thai forest tradition situated near the village of Kallista in the Dandenong Ranges of Victoria Australia. Established in 1998 the Hermitage is an Associated Monastery in the tradition and teachings of the late Ajahn Chah. The Hermitage is a place of practice and residence for monastics with the shared intention of freedom from all mental suffering. It is open to visitors who wish to visit a place where there is the opportunity to develop mindfulness and explore the spiritual teachings of the Buddha and to contribute to the life of the community.
