The Winged Horse Equine Welfare Inc. organisation has been formed, to help neglected horses and ponies in Australia; educating students of all ages about holistic animal welfare. We continued to take in neglected/abandoned/seized animals, mainly horses and ponies, into care. One taken into care, we rehabilitated them, including sending some off to equine trainers, utilising a large government grant. Due to the grant, we have been able to help 36 horses and ponies in the last year, and provide animal welfare education to visiting groups, mainly schools. Our volunteer base has also grown, whereby we provide valuable inhouse training for a large range of people, of all ages and abilities.
