MHP 2024 Presentation EMILIO FOGLIATI: watchman * market gardener * property owner and the felling of a Fairy Meadow fig tree…… All Welcome The Migration Heritage Project is pleased to present the curious story of a pre-World War 2 Italian migrant focussing on the time he was the owner of a Fairy Meadow market garden, who provided the foundation from which “The Frat” was able to build upon. He became infamous for a short time after he felled a much-loved Moreton Bay Figtree and created a “log house” from the limbs and trunk of the tree and caused some “argy bargy” between himself and the local Council. The debut of the photos of the infamous “log house” will be included in the presentation. The presentation will be held on Monday, 25 November 2024 commencing at 5.30pm, at The Lab, Level 1, Wollongong City Library, Burelli Street, Wollongong. Lift access to the first floor and free parking in the Wollongong Council car park from 5.00pm are available. The event is free but bookings are essential. RSVP by 22 November 2024 Online: via the link below Email: events@mhpillawarra.com.au or via the MHP website (www.mhpillawarra.com.au) by selecting the Events tab on the homepage (fb)
