The echidnas 🦔 scientific name 'Tachyglossus' means fast tongue 👅 and it's easy to see why they have that name. Their tongues can move in and out of their tiny mouths 👄 100 times in a minute. Mini Flattie has been in our care 🏥 for a few weeks after being struck by a vehicle causing their beak to fracture in multiple places. Thankfully 🙏 our vet team knows a broken beak doesn't have to be a death sentence 🙅♀️. With some time to rest 💤 and a soft food 🤪 we anticipate Mini Flattie will make a full recovery and return to the wild soon 🌳. (fb)
Don't let this handsome face fool you, we named this boy Fury 😡 for a reason. We would be furious too if someone struck us with a vehicle 🛻 and left us to die. Thankfully 🙏, for Fury, a caring driver noticed him stunned and injured on the road and called for help 🪦. Watch this space 👀 for an update on this precious boy soon. (fb)
