As the People and Culture Manager, Nicola's role is all about supporting the team and fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture. A typical day involves everything from strategic planning around workforce development to supporting leaders with recruitment, onboarding and performance management. She also spends time listening to staff, helping resolve issues and making sure people feel valued and supported. Nicola's always been passionate about people and creating environments where they can feel they belong. Knowing that the work she does directly impacts lives in meaningful ways is incredibly motivating, and she wants to use her skills to support those who support others. If she had to swap roles for the day, she'd love to swap with one of Blue Sky's frontline support workers. Nicola says they are at the heart of what Blue Sky does, and thinks spending time in their shoes would give her an even deeper insight into what they accomplish. Blue Skys servicesexpand to the Northern Rivers and SE Queensland Were delighted to announce that we have expanded the reach of our NDIS Support Services to the Northern RiversSouth East Queensland regions through the transfer of DAISI services based in Ballina to the Blue Sky Community Services family. Building on the strong history and reputation of DAISI we will continue to provide the same NDIS services and supports without any interruption and will also continue to deliver the Grandcarers project.
