The official Twitter account of the Australian Vascular Biology Society (AVBS) for scientists studying the blood vessel, its form, function and development. The purpose of the Australian Vascular Biology Society is to foster communication, collaboration and education between scientists investigating the fundamental biology of the cells and components of the vascular (blood vessel) system, as it functions in health and disease. AVBS normally achieves this aim by holding an Annual Scientific Conference to allow students and senior researchers to share recent and novel information on their scientific discoveries in the fields of cardiovascular research and physiology. Due to the various limitations imposed by the COVID19 pandemic, in 2022 AVBS held its annual conference virtually, over the Zoom platform (Aug 2526th). In this manner we achieved the main aim of our Society for this year. We also supported the travel of 3 invited scientists to present their work at an International conference for Vascular Biology (NAVBO), allowing additional networking.
