Resthaven has continued to provide quality care and services to older people and their carers living in the community. Resthaven provided care and services according to individual need and availability. Services extended from basic support to very high care services at home, to 24 hours a day seven days a week residential aged care accommodation services, respite for carers, retirement living and affordable rentals. Approximately 14,000 older people accessed a range of inhome community care and support options to assist them to live independently and maintain social connections. These include social support groups, health and wellbeing therapy services, inhome support and clinical care, planned respite for carers, veteran specific services and assistance with housing for those at risk of homelessness. Over 1,300 residents received care and services at Resthaven's residential care homes and retirement villages. Resthaven's activities were supported by paid employees and also volunteers. In addition to Resthaven's core services in relation to direct care, Resthaven engages in research and advocacy for the benefit of older people.
