Big changes are coming to aged care starting on 1 July 2025, and they’re all about delivering safer, more respectful, and personalised care. As a part of the introduction of Support at Home, the Australian Government is introducing: ✅ A new Aged Care Act to put older people’s rights at the centre of care ✅ A clear and empowering Statement of Rights for all aged care recipients ✅ Strengthened Quality Standards to ensure safer, higher-quality care across every setting (including in the home) These changes apply to all government-funded aged care services, including CHSP and the upcoming Support at Home program.
