Opening young eyes to the world 🌏🇺🇳 Official account of UN Youth Australia. RT ≠ endorsement. A national youth-led organisation empowering young Australians to make change on the big issues facing the globe. UN Youth ACT has actively pursued its mission of empowering young Australians with a deeper understanding of global issues and the work of the United Nations. Through our programs, we have provided accessible and engaging opportunities for young people to develop their leadership, public speaking, and decisionmaking skills while fostering meaningful discussions on global affairs. Key initiatives include Model United Nations (MUN) events, interactive workshops, and educational programs in schools, equipping students with the tools to think critically about international relations, human rights, and diplomacy. These programs directly support the aims of the UN Charter by encouraging youth to consider cooperative solutions to global challenges. We have also contributed to fostering a respectful and informed community by promoting awareness of universal human rights. Our events encouraged debate and dialogue on pressing international issues, providing a platform for young people to engage in constructive discussions and develop advocacy skills. Furthermore, UN Youth ACT has strengthened its volunteer network, ensuring that young people have opportunities to contribute meaningfully to their communities. By engaging volunteers in leadership roles, we have helped develop a generation of informed and active citizens who are committed to making a positive impact. Through these initiatives, UN Youth ACT continues to open young eyes to the world, supporting the broader mission of UN Youth Australia and strengthening youth participation in decisionmaking at every level.
