Happy International Nurses Day! 🌎🩺💙 Thank you to all the practising and aspiring nursing professionals for their compassion and commitment. UC is proud to mark this significant day and celebrate Associate Professor Aisling Smyth, or Ash, for being named the ACT Nurse of the Year 2025, at the ACT Nurses and Midwives Excellence Awards, organised by ACT Health. Ash was recognised for her exceptional leadership in nursing education and research at the School of Nursing and Midwifery and the Centre for Ageing Research and Translation (CARAT). Ash shared some words of advice for aspiring nurses. “If you're passionate about helping others and committed to lifelong learning, nursing will challenge and reward you in ways that few other professions can.
