From the lab to the oven, Science is everywhere! 🧪🍰 This National Science Week our students merged baking with biology, whipping up some tasty experiments in the ‘Cake My Science’ challenge. With creations that included a cake that changed colour with a dash of lemon juice, a geode-infused dinosaur cake, a slice of the solar system and a two-tier concoction dedicated to the ‘rules of science’, our talented bakers met the challenge like pros and left the judges in awe. We’re lending a caring hand at CGGS💛 This week, our Junior School announced it will be taking part in the You Can Sit With Me initiative, a national program which aims to create inclusive and welcoming school communities. Yellow bands will be worn by Ambassadors from each class, offering silent support to a student who might be nervous about finding someone to talk to or sit with at recess or lunchtime. The initiative goes ‘hand in hand’ with our recently unveiled Buddy Bench, a special spot which serves as a welcoming sanctuary for our Junior School students to forge new friendships during playtime.
