Q.I.T.E. is a community based organisation committed to assisting people gain, retain or enhance the We have provided assistance and relief to the unemployed, including longterm unemployed, indigenous, people with a disability or other disadvantaged persons or groups of people in necessitous circumstances, suffering poverty, sickness, destitution or helplessness by the provision of skills training, employment related support and assistance, and enterprise activities to retain or improve their prospects of employment and where possible, place those persons in employment. We run two enterprises which include QT s Early Learning Centre (long day care centre providing care for up to 70 children from birth to Kindy age) and Passenger Transport Services where we transport workers out to many farms across the region. We have provided conduit for Government programs and assistance to be delivered to the unemployed and disadvantaged in a considered and appropriate manner. We have accessed, undertaken, and engaged in activities, projects and training programs which offer unemployed and disadvantaged people the opportunity to gain, retain or enhance their position in the workforce and their lives while developing closer links with the community.
