It was cold, wet and wintery outside last night, but inside our Ferntree Gully community meal, it was warm, welcoming and full of life. Our dining room was packed with people sharing hearty food, good conversation, laughter and connection. Nights like these remind us just how powerful simple hospitality can be. A huge thank you to our amazing team of volunteers who make it all possible week after week, we couldn’t do it without you! And a big shoutout to Brandan and Aaron from OUTER EAST 'Community Bank' Football & Netball for coming along and being part of our night. Everyone is welcome at our table. (fb)
We can announce that we will be having our last day this coming Monday July 28 of trading and running our Mountain Gate Op Shop. All are welcome to come along and celebrate with us. We are also happy to announce there will be a new group taking over the shop, so it will continue to be an Op Shop space offering low cost good, friendly faces and community spirit. The store will be closed for a couple of weeks from close of business this Monday while some internal renovations take place. We want to thank all of our amazing volunteers and customers over the past 3 years as we have run this store This is the first of some more exciting news that we hope to be sharing over the next while.
