𝗡𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 – 𝗠𝘆 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 🏡 This morning, 16th June, at The Kogarah Storehouse, the Nepalese Parenting Group gathered for a special information session about navigating the aged care system in Australia. Led by Sector Support Officers, the session helped our senior participants understand how to access government-funded programs that support older people to remain living independently at home. Information was delivered in Nepalese language to ensure the participants don’t fall behind. Highlights included: ✅ Understanding CHSP (Commonwealth Home Support Program) and HCP (Home Care Packages) ✅ Introduction to the upcoming Support at Home reform in November 2025 ✅ How to register with My Aged Care and receive assessments ✅ Information on helpful services like Care Finders, Carer Gateway, and the Healthy Ageing Hub A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful speakers: 💬 Jharna Biswakarma, Healthy Ageing Advisor from 3Bridges Community 💬 Mayna Hung, Multicultural Sector Support & Development Officer Advance Diversity Services - ADS It was a very informative morning empowering our seniors with the tools to plan for their future! 💛 This program is a collaboration with Advance Diversity Services, working together to make sure our community groups are informed and supported. #infosession #kogarahstorehouse Nepalese in Sydney Nepalese Community Of Kogarah, Sydney (fb)
