This Child Protection Week we wanted to honour the theme of “Every Conversation Matters” by passing on words of kindness. Yesterday at Cumberland High School, we asked students from years 7-9 to write a small message of hope and encouragement to women and children who have experienced or are still experiencing domestic and family violence. It was heartwarming to read what students had written and a strong reminder that even if you don’t understand someone else’s struggles, your words and acts of kindness make a difference.
