Tomorrow is IDAHOBIT Day! International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Transphobia is a moment to celebrate the progress being made for LGBTIQA+ rights, while also understanding the significant work still ahead of us. We continue to see high rates of homelessness and family violence within the LGBTIQA+ community. For example, queer and gender diverse people are more likely to experience homelessness and are more vulnerable to unique forms of violence than cis and hetero people. We know that they also experience more barriers when seeking support. We need to work together to end the stigma and discrimination experienced by LGBTIQA+ communities, and create a future where everyone feels safe and supported to be themselves. #IDAHOBIT (fb)
