Footscray Community Arts is extremely proud to present No One Forgets the Colour, a showcase honouring the artists of Artlife Studio. It is a vibrant, heartfelt celebration of our much loved, decades-long arts and disability program. Through painting, printmaking, sculpture, and digital works, the artists reflect on what it means to create together, to share stories, laughter, and the long, bright history of a community built on art. Each piece carries the spirit of growth and friendship that has defined ArtLife for years. We look forward to seeing you there! Image credit: Fizzy Colour Wonder – Alisha O'Neill, Wade Cameron feat. COMING UP THIS SATURDAY OCTOBER 25TH! Making of Fried Rice – Free workshop with Barcode People @1barcodepeople1 Making of Fried Rice is a participatory workshop designed as an extension of the VR installation "The Making of Fried Rice" by Barcode People. Drawing on the idea of fried rice as an improvised, layered dish, the workshop invites participants to imagine and share their own ‘ingredients’-symbols, memories, ideas, or sensations-they would mix into such a world. Rather than being limited to the VR experience, these ‘ingredients’ are open-ended: they can be personal, abstract, speculative, or surreal. With participants’ permission, select elements may be incorporated into future iterations of the VR installation. Barcode People is a creative duo (Qihao Liang and Tong Shu) based in Naarm, focusing on incorporating performance arts across digital visuals and installations. Barcode People’s philosophy is to create a realm through their artistic expression for spectators to re-approach and redefine the essences of becoming and being. Barcode People’s goal is to alienate familiarity in a familiar experience. When: Saturday 25 October 2025; 1 – 2:30pm Where: Footscray Community Arts; Roslyn Smorgon Gallery Cost: FREE; RSVPs essential at https://hubs.li/Q03PfSNK0 @melbfringe; @creative_vic; @artsandculturemcc; #MIGW25 (fb)
