FOA GB board member Amanda Clegg is coming to Asha next month with her entire family! Her husband Jonathan, her son Alex and his wife, and her son Tommy and his fiancée. I am excited to have them with us. Jonathan is a wonderful pianist (he is an attorney by profession), and together with their friend Mark, he performed a concert to fundraise for Asha. It was very well attended and well received. Amanda, many thanks to you and Jonathan for all the hard work you put into organising this event. On Sunday, 21st September, Asha’s school and university students from Seelampur slum Community proudly participated in Wipro’s annual event, Spirit of Wipro 2025. The day began early, with children gathering at the Asha Centre by 5:00 a.m. Despite the hour, their faces glowed with excitement as they set out together for the venue. Upon arrival, they were warmly welcomed by the Wipro team, who greeted them with refreshments that added to their joy. The program soon commenced, and one by one the children took the stage. With energy, confidence, and grace, they performed their well-rehearsed dances, captivating the audience. Loud applause filled the stadium, a testament to their hard work and dedication. For the Asha team, it was a proud and moving moment to witness the children shine so brightly. The event also created a meaningful space for interaction between Asha representatives and Wipro employees. Stories of Asha’s work in education, healthcare, and empowerment were shared, leaving the employees deeply touched and inspired. Many expressed admiration for the children’s spirit and praised Asha’s tireless commitment to transforming lives.
