Newcastle Youth Orchestra Inc. Newcastle Youth Orchestra ensembles rehearse weekly, encouraging committed young musicians from the Hunter (NSW) and surrounding areas to achieve the performance of great music. Through the rehearsal, performance, touring, studying and collaborating, the orchestras develop their knowledge and understanding of music in a variety of genres and ensembles. The challenging repertoire explored throughout the programs is intended to extend both the local musicians and their communities from which they derive. Each of our three orchestras performs 4 large concerts each, for audiences specifically children, regular classicalmusic attendees, family festival events and in large auditoriums.
