iSTEM INCURSION// A huge thank you to NSW Ambulance Paramedic, Mr Stuart Bradshaw, for bringing a piece of world-leading emergency response technology to our school yesterday! Our students had an incredible close-up look at the Hazardous Area Rescue Ambulance (HARA)—it's the world's first specially designed ambulance capable of navigating extreme terrains like floodwaters and fire grounds. Worth about a million dollars, this state-of-the-art machine is one of only 15 in NSW, and it is comforting to know one is based right here in the Shoalhaven! 🚨 Year 9/10 iSTEM students gained critical insights for their own Rescue Vehicle prototypes—talk about real-world application! 🚨 Students interested in a career as a paramedic got a first-hand understanding of this vital service from Mr Bradshaw. 🚨 Year 1 student Simeon B and his classmates also got a special tour from Dad! What a privilege to see emergency innovation in action. YEAR 10// Last week, our Year 10 students attended the RYDA (Rotary Youth Driver Awareness) Workshop, a road safety education program designed to help young people develop the skills and attitudes needed to be safe and responsible road users. Throughout the day, students took part in interactive sessions covering topics such as hazard perception, stopping distances, driver distractions, and the importance of making safe choices as both drivers and passengers.
