When 93-year-old Colin Spann, a retirement resident at Immanuel Gardens in Buderim, reached out looking for a pen pal, the residents at Wahroonga Aged Care jumped at the chance to write back. Colin was the first manager at Wahroonga Aged Care in Biloela in the late 1980s and shared fond memories of his time there. His letter sparked conversations, smiles and stories among the residents, who loved the chance to connect with someone who still feels part of their community. Their replies are now on the way, and we’re sure Colin will enjoy every word 💌 (fb)
It was a lovely Mother’s Day surprise for Zion Aged Care resident Doreen when her daughter Kathy and great-granddaughter Clancy came by for a visit. Clancy loves spending time with her Great Grandma and enjoys saying hello to the other residents as she passes by. She even joins them for the occasional walk 💞 (fb)
