Well done to Prep student, Patrick! 🎨 His wonderful artwork has been selected for the National Portrait Gallery's My Awesome Australian Online Exhibition! This exhibition celebrates 50 years of the Australian honours system by asking students to create a portrait of a community hero and suggest an award for them. Patrick chose his Prep teacher, Mrs Martin, and here's why he'd give her 'The Best Teacher Ever Award': "This is my teacher, Mrs Martin. She is very kind and always helps me. I started school this year and she makes it fun and happy. I like going every day because she smiles and makes us feel safe. All the children love her and we enjoy learning together. If I could give her an award, I would give her 'The Best Teacher Ever Award,' because she is the nicest and most wonderful teacher." What a beautiful tribute! Last week, our Prep students completed their Swim and Gym program! This isn't just about splashing around – it's a vital program where they develop essential swimming skills, build water confidence and improve their motor skills and coordination. Best of all? They had an absolute blast! (fb)
