We help you help others. We are a not-for-profit, philanthropic foundation providing evidence-based community grants. Northern Rivers Community Foundation Ltd is the Trustee for the Nothern Rivers Community Foundation. For almost 20 years the Northern Rivers Community Foundation has responded to the changing neeeds of our community be connecting those who care, with local causes that matter to enhance community wellbeing. Since 2005, the Foundation has granted and facilitated $5.69 million to more than 570 projects across 259 organisations undertaking social, cultural and environmental projects in the region. NRCF is embedded in the community we serve community governed with deep local knowledge and networks. We build authentic partnerships witrh grassroots groups, community organisations and philanthropists seeking to support positive change and build social equity into the future. As at 31.12.22 NRCF had Net Assets of $4,509,499 of which $1,794,647 are held in perpetuity and ethically invested for the long term benefit of the Northern Rivers Community. Following the devasting floods impacting our region in February and March 2022, with the support of our volunteers, donors and partners NRCF granted a record $1,610,204 in grants compared to $537,951 the previous year. 2022 showed what is possible with the genrosity of spirit, strong social fabric and collarborative action for which the Northern Rivers is known. In October 2022, were honoured to accept a national award from Community Foundations Australia, recognising outstanding work in natural disaster response, for our Emergency Response Grant Program in colloboration with the Flood Relief Fund. Finally, NRCF continues to invest in research to inform impact. In 2022 NRCF released 3 reports, highlighting the complexities, insights and possible solutions to major issues for our residents; including Flood Impact: Rsearch, Respond and Recover; Northern Rivers NSW Vital Signs 2022; & Housing and Homelessness in a Flood Recovery.
