Today is National Walk Safely to School Day and our Junior School community met at a local park for an early morning walk to school together. A great initiative to get our bodies moving and our minds clear. Thank you to our Head of Junior School, Nick Smith for organisaing the walk and to those who joined us, we hope it provided a fun and fresh start to your day! To round out National Careers Week Australia our ELC and Junior School students dressed up to reflect their favourite career. We had vets, doctors, astronauts, builders, chefs, artists and teachers... just to name a few! Our Junior School Student Leaders hosted a special assembly where they interviewed people from our community about their chosen careers. We heard from our Principal and our Pastor, as well as some of our parents, including a Paramedic, a Pilot, a Police Officer and a Medi Vac Nurse. It was great hearing about their roles and what they do to help and serve our community. It is always great to plant the seed of curiosity and inspire confidence in our younger students, to help broaden their understanding of the world around them and link learning to real life experiences.
